To Lose Weight, Eat Breakfast

According to the December 04 Bottom Line Health newsletter, you should never skip breakfast if youre trying to drop excess fat. Why? A healthful, high-fiber morning meal that includes some protein, such as yogurt, makes it easier to resist fatty, sugary foods throughout the day.

Another good tip: Completely swearing off foods you really love wont do much for your weight-loss efforts. Youll eventually cave in to your cravings. Instead, compromise. Eat half of something you crave, and do it on your one cheat day a week. If you feel a craving for sweets when its not your cheat day, have a piece of hard candy to satisfy the urge. Hot chocolate is another good alternative, with one cup having only about 120 calories.
